About the Program

Program Overview

Spend summer learning Korean in the heart of Seoul

The Lexis Korea Junior Summer Activity Program combines Korean-language study, cultural discovery and supervised city adventures for international teenagers. Students learn at the dedicated Lexis Junior Campus in Gangnam and experience both traditional and modern Korea with a supportive international group.

2027 dates and study options

The 2027 summer season runs from 14 June to 6 August, with entry available every Monday. Students aged 13 to 17 can choose a one, two, three, four, five or six-week package to match their school holiday and travel plans.

Korean classes for every level

Students complete an online placement test before arrival and join the best class for their Korean level. Morning lessons run from 09:00 to 12:15 and develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar through interactive, practical learning. Complete beginners are welcome.

Korean lessons take place from 09:00 to 12:15, followed by lunch from 12:15 to 13:15. Students then join a supervised cultural activity or excursion from approximately 13:15 to 15:30. This balance gives students focused language progress and a new experience in Seoul every day.

Summer activities and excursions

Students explore Korean culture through K-pop dance, Korean fan dance, samulnori, taekwondo, kimchi-making, traditional crafts and mask-making. Excursions can include Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, N Seoul Tower, Seoul Sky, Starfield Library, Seoul Forest, the Han River, Lotte World, Lotte World Aquarium, museums, art spaces, markets and popular youth-culture destinations around Seoul.

Optional weekend experiences

Students can add selected weekend experiences to make their summer even more memorable. The DMZ Tour costs KRW 80,000, the Mud Festival costs KRW 90,000, and the Waterpark and Jjimjilbang experience costs KRW 66,000.

Homestay and student support

Students stay with a carefully selected local homestay family in a private room. Breakfast and dinner are included each day, giving students a comfortable home base and an opportunity to experience Korean family life. Lexis Korea provides on-campus welfare support, transportation for scheduled weekday activities and 24/7 assistance.

Every package includes airport pick-up and drop-off, registration, Korean tuition, course materials, weekday activities, activity transportation, homestay placement, private-room accommodation, breakfast and dinner, student welfare support and emergency assistance.

Program prices

One week costs KRW 1,890,000. Two weeks cost KRW 3,040,000. Three weeks cost KRW 4,100,000. Four weeks cost KRW 5,160,000. Five weeks cost KRW 6,220,000. Six weeks cost KRW 7,280,000.

Lunch, personal spending, insurance and optional weekend excursions are not included in the main package. Students follow the junior-program conduct policy and homestay curfew of 18:00 Sunday to Thursday and 20:00 Friday and Saturday.

Lexis Junior Campus in Gangnam

Classes are held at the Lexis Junior Campus at Seocho-gu, Seoul. The campus is steps from Gangnam Station and is designed for students under 19, with bright classrooms, age-appropriate facilities and a secure rooftop garden.

About the Institution

Lexis Korea

Lexis Korea

Seoul (Gangnam & Hongdae) and Busan

Lexis Korea is a specialist Korean-language school for international students, with three central campuses in Seoul and Busan. Its programs serve complete beginners through advanced learners and combine structured language instruction with cultural activities, academic counselling, accommodation support and practical help for living in Korea. The school has welcomed learners from 115 countries and won the ST Star Award for World Language School.

Students from Asia Pathway can choose Gangnam, Hongdae or Busan while following the same weekly curriculum and can request a supported campus transfer. The flagship Gangnam campus is at Seocho-gu, Seoul, steps from Gangnam Station; it has 31 air-conditioned classrooms, three student lounges, two computer labs and a rooftop garden. Hongdae is at Mapo-gu, beside Hongik University Station and AK Plaza. Busan is at Busanjin-gu, opposite Jeonpo Cafe Street and a short walk from Seomyeon Station.

The academic pathway runs from Foundation to Advanced, broadly aligned with CEFR A1 to C1/C2 and TOPIK I to TOPIK II. New students complete an online placement test before arrival.

Intensive Korean is the principal full-time option, running Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 15:30. Morning classes integrate speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar; afternoon skills classes and Friday options add practical communication and cultural learning. TOPIK Preparation follows the full-time timetable and adds exam strategy, mock tests, past-paper practice and teacher feedback.

Packages include round-trip airport transfer, registration, Korean tuition and course materials, weekday activities and local transport, homestay placement, a private homestay room, breakfast and dinner, on-campus welfare support and 24/7 assistance. Junior learners complete an online pre-test and join classes suited to their Korean level.

Lexis Korea is strongest for students who want flexible entry, measurable progress and a choice between Seoul's Gangnam and Hongdae districts or central Busan.
